BLUE ALCHEMY 'SELF PORTRAITS' PRIVATE OPENING NIGHT

YOU HAVE BEEN INVITED TO ZIMA ANDERSON'S SECOND SOLO EXHIBITION.

This collection once again faces the perspective of identity. Her first solo show, 'ICU', showcased realistic portraits on a vintage mirror, encouraging viewers to see themselves in others, literally and figuratively. Mirrors created impossible photography, which also encouraged viewers to try to capture it or live in it.

Her second show, 'Blue Alchemy', has been her mirror to herself. This collection is diverse and expressive. She practices painting herself over and over again in different ways. Some are in the hands she loves, the lessons she has learnt, in a lot of portraits, in everything she is and knows. Scratching at the idea of creative perception and selfishly being whatever creative expression is true to her in that moment, free of conformity.
